China's stainless steel scrap imports increase

China's stainless steel scrap imports were recorded at about 37,700 tonnes in April, down 3.1% from the previous month but up significantly by 646.5% from the same month a year ago, statistics showed.

In the January-April period, China's stainless steel scrap imports amounted to about 141,000 tonnes, up 129,000 tonnes, or 1,051.4%, from a year earlier.
