Thailand extends anti-dumping duties on Iran, Brazil and Turkey

Thailand's Ministry of Foreign Trade announced that the anti-dumping tariff applied to hot plate imports from three countries, Iran, Brazil and Turkey, has been extended to protect its domestic market from cheap product imports.

Thailand's Ministry of Foreign Trade has extended the anti-dumping  duty on HRC imports from three countries, Iran, Brazil and Turkey, for up to 5 years in order to protect its domestic market from cheap product imports . It was announced that these anti-dumping duties, which were first implemented in May 2017, will be extended for another 5 years from May 2023. While it applied 27.27% and 6.86% customs duties to Erdemir and Çolakoğlu, two of Turkey's largest steel producers, respectively, it was determined as 28.23% for other Turkish producers.

Thailand's customs duty on Hrc imports from Iran Mobarakeh Steel was 7.25%, while it was 38.27% on Iran's other manufacturers.

The anti-dumping tariffs applied to hot plate imports from three countries, Iran, Turkey and Brazil, are as follows;
