Saudi Arabia strengthens cooperation with Turkey

Saudi Arabia and Turkey are engaged in discussions aimed at boosting their trade relations and non-oil exports.

Saudi Arabia strengthens cooperation with Turkey

Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, has successfully concluded his official visit to the Turkey. The primary objectives of this visit were to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the industrial and mining sectors, foster growth in trade, and promote non-oil exports. Additionally, discussions were held to explore and attract high-quality investment opportunities within the industrial and mining sectors.

While on his visit, Al-Khorayef took part in a event hosted by the Turkish DEIK Foundation in Istanbul, as well as another in the capital city, Ankara, at the Federation of Turkish Chambers and Stock Exchanges. These events brought together investors to engage in discussions regarding promising investment prospects within the industrial and mining sectors. They also highlighted the numerous advantages and capabilities that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia offers to potential investors. The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources visited Turkish companies to explore automation and fourth industrial revolution technologies.

During the same visit, the minister signed a preliminary memorandum of understanding with Turkey's Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, emphasizing cooperation in the mining sector. He also observed the signing of another agreement between the National Center for Industrial Development and Turkey's Shulen Company, aimed at enhancing collaboration in industry, technology, and innovation. Furthermore, the minister attended the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the National Center for Industrial Development and the Turkish company Robo Turkiye in Istanbul, focusing on cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence.
