Sulayem, Chairman and Chief Executive of Dubai Multi Commodities Center (DMCC), stated that the Turkish economy has made significant progress in the last 20 years and that they want to sign new cooperations.

Sulayem, who visited Property Expo Istanbul, which brings together more than 40 branded projects of Turkey with investors and provides service for 365 days, evaluated the bilateral relations between Turkey and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Turkish economy.

Ahmet Sultan Bin Sulayem, who stated that he was in Turkey to make various contacts as the senior manager of DMCC, one of the world's leading free zones and commodity centers, stated that the change in Turkey, which he had visited before, was "extraordinary".

Noting that they are in constant contact with companies in Turkey, Sulayem said, "We are here to cooperate more with the Turkish market. The Turkish economy has experienced great changes in the last 20 years. There may have been some bottlenecks between Turkey and the UAE in previous years, but the relations are much better now. " he said.

"Turkey is not in the place it deserves"
Sulayem, Chairman of the DMCC Board of Directors, stated that Turkey is not yet at the point where it should be, "There is no shortage of many leading centers in Europe. Perhaps the only thing lacking in Turkey, which has a very important role and potential, is awareness." used the phrases.

Making evaluations about the Turkish real estate sector, Sulayem said, "It is very difficult not to invest in Turkish real estate products and not to take advantage of the opportunity here. Turkey is one of the leading countries in terms of its historical, natural beauties and location. Here, real estate investment opportunities should be evaluated." he said.

"444 companies operate in DMCC"
Ahmet Sultan Bin Sulayem stated that 444 companies from Turkey operate in the DMCC free zone and that they are in contact with other Turkish companies.

Emphasizing that they will take the first steps of new collaborations that they can make in the future during their visit to Turkey, Sulayem said, "As DMCC, we are open to Turkish companies. We expect you to make investments." he said.

Talking about their activities in renewable energy and explaining that they are leading the world in this regard, Sulayem stated that there are 2 thousand companies operating within the body of DMCC in this field.

Sulayem added that they evaluate Turkey's high potential in renewable energy and that they are open to cooperation in this field.

"We expect a revenue of 13-15 billion dollars from the sale of housing to foreigners this year"
Property Expo Chairman of the Board of Directors, Haşim Süngü, said that 2021 was a very good year in terms of housing sales to foreigners and that it approached 60,000 units with an increase of more than 43 percent.

Noting that last year, a revenue of 10 billion dollars was obtained from the sale of housing to foreigners, Süngü said, "We expect sales of housing to foreigners in the range of 70-80 thousand this year, and an income of 13-15 billion dollars from these sales." he said.

Expressing that Turkey is not yet at the desired level in the sale of housing to foreigners, Süngü stated that those who have purchased housing in recent years have been very profitable and there will be new investors following them.

Süngü stated that the markets of Pakistan and Iran are on the rise at the moment, and that they expect housing investments from Russia and Ukraine to increase due to the war, and that there is a serious demand from foreigners living in Europe and the USA.

"If the Saudi Arabian market returns, the rate of increase will accelerate"
Referring to Turkey's recent rapprochement with the Gulf countries, Haşim Süngü said, "The citizens of Saudi Arabia, who buy the most housing, are not currently available. Bilateral relations with this country are on the rise again. If the investors in this market return, we expect a revenue of 13-15 billion dollars 16-18. billion-dollar band." used the phrases.

Süngü said that if Saudi Arabian investors re-enter the Turkish market, the sales of residences to foreigners will accelerate, adding that the interest from the Gulf countries continues and the citizens of this region love Turkey very much.

Noting that they realized Property Expo Istanbul after the increase in sales to foreigners, Süngü said, "We brought together 40-50 branded projects in the city under one roof in our Istanbul showroom. We gathered everything that foreigners, such as banks and law offices, will need when buying a house, under one roof." he ended his speech.
