Ford Otosan introduced the redesigned Yeniköy Plant

In the statement made by the company to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), it was stated that approximately 1 billion Euros of investment expenditure was made as of the end of September 2023 for the new generation 1-ton medium commercial vehicles to be produced at the Yeniköy Plant. In the statement, "With the said investments, the closed area of the factory was increased from 110 thousand m2 to 255 thousand m2 and the production capacity was increased from 68 thousand units to 245 thousand units. With the ongoing investments, the capacity of the plant is expected to reach 405 thousand units in 2025."

On the other hand, the production of 1 tonne commercial vehicles at Gölcük Plant, which currently has a production capacity of 195 thousand 1 tonne medium commercial vehicles and 190 thousand Transit units, has been shifted to Yeniköy Plant, and "The focus at Gölcük Plant has been on the production of Transit model and the production capacity for Transit model has been updated as 207 thousand units".

At the opening ceremony, Ali Koç, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Koç Holding and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ford Otosan, stated that the renewed Yeniköy Plant will strengthen their position as Europe's leading electric commercial vehicle manufacturer, and said, "However, our dreams for the future go far beyond these. Our Yeniköy Plant will serve these dreams."

Ford Otosan's Yeniköy Plant, which was redesigned with innovative and efficient solutions, was inaugurated with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Speaking at the ceremony, Koç said that they are in a special year in which they are enthusiastically celebrating the 100th anniversary of the glorious and honourable history of the Republic.

Speaking about the history and investments of the Koç Group, Koç described the activities they carried out in the region following the earthquakes centred in Kahramanmaraş.

Pointing out that they grow together with Türkiye and create value for the country, Koç said, "Mr President, how happy we are that our partners, with whom we do business, have always continued to trust both our Group and Türkiye."
