Çankırı weapon will be strengthened with new investment

MKE operates to meet the weapons, ammunition and explosive needs of the Turkish Armed Forces with domestic means. Çankırı Weapon Factory plays an important role in the production of medium-caliber weapon systems. With the modernization works to be carried out, the capacity and capability of the facility will be increased.

Under the project, the plant will produce 30 double-barreled 35-millimeter anti-aircraft guns, 1,000 40-millimeter drum grenade launchers, 400 automatic 40-millimeter grenade launchers, 1,000 12.7-millimeter anti-aircraft machine guns and 20 105-millimeter BORAN howitzers annually. This new production capacity will increase the domestic production capacity of the Turkish defense industry.

In order to support the investment, various supports such as customs duty exemption, VAT exemption, 80 percent tax reduction, and 40 percent investment contribution will be provided to the company. Çankırı Weapons Factory plays a crucial role in the production of medium-caliber weapon systems, especially for the needs of security forces. The extensive infrastructure of the factory is designed to suit production and testing processes.
