According to the World Steel Association, at the end of November 2023, Austrian metallurgical enterprises reduced steel production by 2.9% compared to the previous month to 560 thousand tonnes.
Compared with November 2022, in November this year, Austrian metallurgists increased steel production by 0.5%. In January-November, Austria produced 6.53 million tonnes of steel, 6% less than in the same period last year.
The average monthly steel production in Austria in January-November was 593.45 thousand tonnes, compared to 631.1 thousand tonnes in the same period in 2022 (-5.96% y-o-y).
