Acciaierie Venete signs contract with Danieli to launch wire rod production line

Acciaierie Venete, a steel producer specialised in high value-added long products and operating several plants in Northern Italy, has signed a contract with Danieli to implement a new complete wire rod production line aimed at expanding its existing steel plant in Sarezzo (Brescia).

Acciaierie Venete signs contract with Danieli to launch wire rod production line

The new wire rod line, fed by the existing Danieli rolling mill producing straight and coiled quality bars, will expand the company's product portfolio by producing qualified steel with diameters from 5.5 to 25 mm at speeds of up to 110 m/s.

The new wire rod line will include three fast finishing blocks to perform a total of 18 passes, including a TMB Twin Module Block that will guarantee ± 0.1 mm flexibility and 50% ovality across the entire product range.

Remote diagnostics of the main equipment will be provided through the Danieli CMS Conditioning and Monitoring System.

The new line will be designed to provide in-line low-temperature rolling for specific end applications.

The contract includes engineering, fabrication, assembly, on-site training and consultancy services for the entire technological supply. The plant is scheduled to be operational in early 2025.
