According to the Turkish Ministry of Commerce, the United States of America (USA) imposes countervailing duties on imports of "Carbon Welded Steel Pipes and Tubes" originating in Türkiye. According to the notification of the US Department of Commerce dated March 1st, 2024, it is stated that the parties can apply until March 31st, 2024 for the opening of an administrative review investigation for the period January 1st, 2023 - December 31st, 2023 within the scope of the current tax measure.
On the other hand, within the scope of the "Implementation Procedures and Principles on Supporting the Expenditures for Advocacy and/or Consultancy Services to be Received by Firms within the Scope of Trade Policy Measures Investigations and Generalized System of Preferences Implementations" issued by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), it is emphasized that exporting companies should obtain the appropriate opinion of TİM and the positive opinion of the Ministry in administrative review investigations opened for subsidy measures in force in line with their requests. In addition, it is stated that companies that apply to the relevant country authorities for the review of subsidy measures in force without obtaining the positive opinion of the Ministry will not be able to benefit from the supports for the next 2 years from the date of the investigation they applied for and the start date of this investigation.
